Jindy & Raj | Sikh & Civil Wedding | Gravesend Gurdwara & Crown Plaza
      On 3rd & 9th August 2019 / Surindera Studios – by Shaminder Balrai

Sometimes in life you get a second chance and meet your true soulmate, Jindy & Raj were destined for each other. Both had been married before and each had beautiful children, the two families became one happy family after Jindy and Raj’s paths met.

The couple decided for an intimate Sikh Wedding ceremony, to be held at the quintessential Gravesend Gurdwara. Family and friends gathered for the Milni, where they greeted each other with happy smiles. A blissful Anand Karaj was witnessed by close family and friends with both Jindy and Raj’s daughters by their sides.

After the ceremony we gathered the family for some group pictures outside the Gurdwara.  This was a great opportunity to get the whole family together for pictures, that will be kept for many forthcoming generations to see.

A week after, the Civil ceremony took place at Crown Plaza, Felbridge in East Grinstead.
We documented Jindy getting glammed up by the incredibly talented Naveeda Make Up Artist and captured some stunning portraits.  Raj a few doors down also got suited and booted into a stylish black 3-piece suit.  He then awaited his bride to be in front of the guests, as the bridesmaids walked up the aisle, you could not help but feel the emotions running in the room.  Raj clearly in wonderment, he was finally marrying the lady of his dreams.

The ceremony was full joy and there were tears of happiness.

Canapes and drinks followed in the private gardens, where we captured some natural relaxed styled portraits of the couple and their affection for each other.

The reception and the cake cutting took place followed by some speeches and delectable food by Madhu’s.  It was time to party and DJ Demitri of Calibar opened the dancefloor with the bride and groom’s first dance.  A mixture of bhangra and English songs played throughout the night, with some African music too to entertain some Kenyan guests who in turn entertained everyone with their interesting moves for sure.

We really enjoyed capturing this intimate celebration of marriage!
