JESS & SUKHRAJ | Sikh Indian Wedding | Painshill Park & Wynyard Hall
On 28TH JULY 2019 / Surindera Studios – by Shaminder Balrai

This couple were so much fun to capture, Jess being the loud one always laughing and joking from the beginning of their Lifestyle Shoot through to the end of their Big Day! Oh, and not forgetting the sarcasm and banter.

Jess had seen and experienced our work through her family when we captured a wedding for them a few years ago and won several International Awards.  She says that she had her heart set on us from that moment.

We shot their Lifestyle Photo and Video Shoot at the epic Pains Hill Park. Unfortunately, the weather just wasn’t on our side, however fortunately, with use of modern-day technology, we figured out when the rain would stop and start and we planned the shoot accordingly. During the intervals Jess kept us thoroughly entertained with her jokes and leg pulling, there was never a dull moment, and the end result was incredible!

This Wedding was not short of a Destination Wedding for us, as it took place in Wynyard which is around a 5-hour drive from us.  The day started with the morning prep of the bride and groom, capturing amazing portraits and some family pictures, the mood was so cheerful as the anticipated day was finally here.

Jess was elegantly made up by JKS Make Up Artist, she wore a beautiful pastel coloured green and peach Punjabi Suit by Dolly J Studio, together with Kyles Collection and Flosaira jewellery.

A serene Sikh Wedding ceremony took place where both families gathered in the joyful Anand Karaj.  Sukhraj’s outfit was also made by Dolly J Studio in matching peach colour, the two together looked magnificent.  Jess couldn’t hold back her smiles throughout the ceremony and Sukhraj had to hold back from bursting into laughter each time she looked at him, we just loved capturing these two.

The Reception was held at Wynyard Hall Marquee, beautifully decorated by Peeka Boo Events, the magnificent cake was provided by The Little Elephant Cake Company drawing ample attention as it sat grandly in the middle of the dancefloor. The guests were in for a tantalising treat as The Harms Arms team of mixologists swirled up copious quantities of mouth-watering cocktails.

The rich gardens of the Wynyard are absolutely outstanding, making it the perfect location for a photoshoot.
Whilst the guests relished their starters, we took this opportunity to capture some splendid portraits of the bride and groom.

World famous DJ Dips of Calibar welcomed the couple’s entrance as the guests cheered them into the cake cutting.  The first dance kicked off the party and the guests wasted no time to get down on the dancefloor to cause some chaos. It was great to stand back and capture highly energetic dance moves in our candid style.
